SPECS:
- 3.5-inch core size
- Black intercooler core finish
- Designed with an offset and staggered internal and external fin pack
- The external fin pack is dense for maximum heat transfer
- The internal fin pack is less dense for maximum flow and performance
- Greatly surpasses the thermal capacity of the factory top-mount intercooler setup
- The inlets and outlets are located in the middle of the core which allows for proper air distribution and flow throughout the core
- The inlet and outlet are hand-ported to reduce turbulence and promote maximum flow
NOTES:
- The FMIC core does require the ETS intake and WILL NOT fit with the OEM intake and air box
- This is just for the core only, and the intercooler pipes are not included

This is the ETS 3.5-Inch Front Mount Intercooler Core. This intercooler has been designed to lower those intake charge temperatures and to prevent heat soak when the thermal capacity limits are surpassed with the factory top mount design. When you perform modifications that increase the horsepower, torque, and the boost, you are creating a performance ceiling as the factory top mount setup can only cool so much. A larger top-mount design can certainly help in some ways, but you are limited with space which means the core can only increase in size by so much. A front mount setup on the new WRXwill have a larger core that will have a lot more surface area coverage to lower those intake charge temperatures. You will maximize the overall performance out of your other modifications, and you will optimize your turbocharger’s overall performance efficiency for more power and torque.
